Overview
The JK series mine hoists are core mining equipment designed and manufactured in accordance with the *Coal Mine Safety Regulations*, GB/T 20961-2007 *Single-Rope Winding Mine Hoists*, and AQ 1035-2007 *Safety Inspection Code for Single-Rope Winding Mine Hoists for Coal Mines*. They are primarily used in vertical or inclined shafts for coal mines, metal mines, and non-metallic mines, where they perform critical functions such as personnel hoisting, material transport, and equipment lowering. These hoists employ a single-rope winding configuration, with drum diameters typically of 2 meters or more; they achieve vertical or inclined transport by using steel wire ropes to pull cages, bucket cars, and other containers, offering high lifting capacity, high operating speeds, and broad adaptability to various operating conditions.
The JK series hoists consist of two main components: a mechanical system and an electrical control system. The mechanical system includes core components such as the main shaft assembly, planetary reducer, disc brake, motor, hydraulic station, depth indicator, and lubrication station. The electrical control system comprises a power cabinet, a variable-frequency cabinet, a braking cabinet, and an operator console. Based on the number of drums, the equipment is classified as single-drum (JK type) and double-drum (2JK type); double-drum models are equipped with a radial-toothed block hydraulic rope-adjustment clutch, enabling synchronous reverse operation between the two containers and significantly improving transport efficiency.

Core Structure and Design Features
The drum adopts an integral or split-type construction (facilitating transport and underground installation) and is made of Q345A high-strength steel; its surface is grooved with helical rope grooves to reduce wear on the steel wire rope;
Both ends of the main shaft are equipped with adjustable double-row roller bearings, enabling full rolling transmission with a transmission efficiency of ≥90%.
Equipped with a rear disc brake, the braking force is provided by a disc spring and driven by a hydraulic unit (response time <0.3 seconds); secondary braking and electro-hydraulic proportional adjustment are supported;
The braking torque shall be ≥3 times the maximum static torque, the brake shoe contact area shall be ≥70%, and safe braking shall automatically engage upon power loss.
Equipped with a planetary gear reducer or a cylindrical gear reducer; featuring a hard tooth surface design, it ensures smooth transmission and low noise levels; the gear material is 20CrMnTi (carburized and quenched).
An optional variable-frequency speed control system is available, delivering energy savings of over 30%; it supports low-speed, heavy-load starting and reduces the impact on the power grid.

Principle and Content
The JK mine hoist uses an electric motor as its power source and performs lifting operations through a closed-loop process comprising “power transmission—motion conversion—braking control—safety monitoring”; the specific operating principle is as follows:
- Power transmission: The motor transmits power to the high-speed shaft of the reducer via an elastic coupling; after two-stage planetary gear reduction (which offers high transmission efficiency and low noise), the reducer’s driven shaft drives the main shaft assembly through a gear coupling to rotate;
- Container lifting: The main spindle drives the drum to rotate; the lifting and lowering of the cage or bucket are achieved by winding and releasing the wire rope. In the dual-drum configuration, the rope-adjustment clutch enables the two containers to operate in reverse-synchronized motion;
- Speed control: The motor speed is regulated using variable-frequency speed control or resistive speed control. The variable-frequency speed control system employs fully digital, sensorless vector control to achieve continuous speed regulation from 0 to 100% of the rated torque, providing excellent stability during low-frequency operation;
- Braking and Protection: The disc brake provides braking force through a disc spring and is hydraulically controlled for brake release; the braking torque is designed at three times the maximum static torque. A safety protection system, comprising a depth indicator, a tachogenerator, and various sensors, is also provided to implement more than 17 protection functions, including over-winding, overspeed, and speed limiting;
- Energy Recovery: Equipped with AFE self-commutation variable-frequency technology, the system automatically switches to power-generation feedback mode during deceleration or when lowering heavy loads, returning regenerated energy to the grid. This provides significant energy savings and improves braking smoothness.
