Shaftless Trommel Screen

This equipment is specifically designed for mixed waste characterized by high humidity, high contamination levels, and a tendency to become entangled, such as household waste, compostable waste, and construction waste.

    Overview

The shaftless drum screen is a high-efficiency screening device that eliminates the traditional central shaft. This design effectively prevents the common “shaft entanglement” shutdowns associated with materials such as plastic bags, electrical wires, and cables (e.g., household waste and recyclable metals). Its primary advantages are the elimination of material entanglement, increased processing capacity, improved operational stability, reduced maintenance costs, and enhanced efficiency.

    Highlights

    01
    Anti-clogging screen

The system employs the principle of a roller conveyor to achieve low friction and minimal wear, while reducing the risk of screen clogging.

    02
    Vibration-free and low-noise

The drum bearing employs a solid through-shaft design to ensure stable operation, eliminating vibration and keeping noise levels low.

    03
The smallest particles of dust and pollution

The drum body is fully sealed, effectively minimizing the impact of dust and environmental factors.

    04
Easy to maintain and has a long service life

The equipment is highly reliable; it employs a reduction drive to achieve efficient power transmission, thereby reducing the power demand of the belt, lowering energy consumption, and ensuring long-term operational efficiency and convenient maintenance.

    Operational Principle

    Axless structure and installation method
The equipment eliminates the conventional central vertical shaft. The rollers are driven by rollers or chains and are mounted on the frame at an inclined angle.
    Drive and tumbling
The motor drives the rotating drum. Once the material enters, the inclination angle of the drum and its rotational motion cause the material to be continuously lifted, rolled, and discharged within the screen.
    Precise classification
During this process, qualified materials with sieve openings smaller than the sieve opening size (smaller-sized materials) pass through the mesh openings and are discharged from the bottom, while oversized non-compliant materials (oversized materials) are discharged from the rear along the slope of the drum. This completes the classification. The tumbling action also automatically dislodges particles lodged in the sieve openings, preventing blockages.

    Parameter

This equipment is specifically designed for mixed waste characterized by high humidity, high contamination levels, and a tendency to become entangled, such as household waste, compostable waste, and construction waste. It features a centerless drum configuration that completely eliminates the common clogging and entanglement issues associated with conventional drum screens, thereby enhancing screen efficiency and operational stability.
